St. Joe’s recognized as center of excellence

St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital in Bryan, TX, has been recognized by CommonSpirit Health as a CABG Center of Excellence for 2021. There are 41 hospitals across CommonSpirit Health that have a Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) program. St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital is one of six hospitals to receive this designation, embodying best Coronary Artery Bypass Graft procedure practices and achieving CABG outcomes that exceed national standards.

Nelson Drake, 62, of Madisonville, Texas passed away September 24, 2021 following an extended illness. He was born August 7, 1959 in Madisonville, Texas to Bobby Merle & Alene (Ivey) Drake. Nelson lived most of his life in Madisonville and was a member of First Baptist Church. Most people recognize Nelson as the longtime successful business owner and operator of Drake’s Collision Center in Madisonville.

Janet Parten, 75, passed away September 22, 2021 in Bryan, Texas following an extended illness. Her funeral service was held 2 p.m., Sunday, September 26, 2021 at First United Methodist Church, Madisonville, Texas. Pastor of the church, Rev. Jim Jackson, officiated the service, and interment followed in Madisonville Cemetery.
