Jones Immortalized

Body
Normangee Panthers basketball legend Joseph Jones was honored by the high school and had his number 30 jersey retired in the presence of family and friends Friday. Jones led the Panthers to a Class 1A State Championship in 2004 before joining the Texas A&M Aggies, where he earned All-Big 12 honors in each of his four seasons. Funeral services for Joyce Diserens, 78, of North Zulch, Texas will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Bro. Glenn Connor, pastor of Elwood Baptist Church, will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Willowhole Cemetery near North Zulch. A public visitation will take place Wednesday, January 26th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

VINCENT TRAVELLE DOWNING

Vincent Travelle Downing was born on December 6, 1975 to the parents of Dwight Andrew Downing and Lula Downing. He attended Madison High School in Houston, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Frank Fanniel, Sr. and was baptized. Vincent was active in the church. He enjoyed Sunday School, Sunshine Band, Purity Class and YPWW singing in the youth choir. He loved to recite poems, he loved drama and loved to be in plays and other activities of the church. Later, Vincent moved to Santa Rosa, California and resided there until his passing. Surely he will be missed.
