The tiny cat

Body
We were at our family’s home way out in the middle of nowhere and to our surprise, a young kitten came up on the front porch. My wife said, “Come here quick and look at this little cat!” He was cold and hungry, so she put some cat food out on the porch. He ran off but came back quickly. We watched him as he ate that night. The next day, she set a small live trap in the barn. Well, he is no longer out in the country but at our house on the screened in back porch. One thing because he is older and has been running wild, he is not gentling down like we would like to see. Since we have lived out in the country most of our lives and raised all kinds of animals for pets. I learned one very important thing: if you do not get them when they are very little or young, it is very hard to make them gentle. Usually, we have bottle fed or hand fed them. That reminds me of something in the Bible. We are encouraged to teach our children about the things of God and when they are young, (Matthew 19:13&14, Ephesians 2:1-10). For example, the nation of Israel as they were about to enter the promised land were commanded to teach their children and grandchildren the commandments of God, (Deuteronomy 6:1-6).
