Our wonderful Bedias Museum & Library is looking to offer a monthly showing of Christian movies on the third Thursday evening of each month, our first offering will be Thursday, April 21. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Texas Master Naturalists accumulate volunteer hours in as many ways as there are personalities and preferences within the program’s 48 chapters across the state. The Coastal Prairie chapter in Rosenberg, with almost 200 members, is one example of where and how volunteers are shining in their communities by following a passion.

AUSTIN – A family’s quiet Sunday in the park turned tragic when a driver, distracted while talking on her cell phone, struck 2-year-old Allie White in a parking lot, killing her. The toddler became one of more than a thousand Texas lives lost due to distracted driving in the past few years, and it’s part of a disturbing trend that continued last year.

St. Thomas More Catholic Church will hold its Spring Fish Fry on Saturday, April 30, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or until all the food is gone at the Community Center at Hilltop Lakes. Delicious fried fish with all the trimmings, $15 for adults and $5 for children. The event also includes a silent auction, raffle with cash prizes, crafts and delicious desserts.
