At Madisonville High School Gym, the Lady Mustangs (5-2) played the Lady Hornets (0-6) on Friday, October 14. Before the match, Head Volleyball Coach Kristen Hooten would say about the upcoming game, “We’re coming in second, and they’re coming in last, so we’re hoping to dominate.”
Mustangs fly over the Rockets 65-23

Madisonville Mustangs (4-3) won their first home game of the season against the Robinson Rockets (3-5) at Madisonville Stadium on Friday, October 14. This was the Mustang’s first district game of the season; while every other team in the district has played one match already, the Rockets, after the Mustangs won this game, are now (0-2) in the district.
Mary Kaplan runs in the Shiitake 5k

During the weekend, the City of Madisonville held the Texas Mushroom Festival on Saturday, October 15. At the Shiitake 5k run, 83-year-old Mary Kaplan showed up with her husband to run in the event.
