On Nov. 20, 2023, Lisa Carol Laird Osborne slipped the chains of her earthly toils and went Home, to be with her many friends and family, and rejoice forever in the presence of her Lord and Savior. She passed away so peacefully after a short, but brave and gracious, battle with cancer with her husband, Clark, and loving caregiver, Sabrina, at her side.

Four Pre-K students were interviewed about Thanksgiving. 

At the last commissioner’s court on Tuesday, Nov. 14, an action item was on the agenda, seeking approval to pay for an inspection at 3301 East Main, across the street from the Buc’ees.

They asked for $1,950 for the inspecial of the commercial property to Byron A. Parffrey, LLC. The court subsequently approved it, and afterward, in the next item, the commissioners approved purchasing the property and determining a funding source.

Students from Madisonville High School have earned positions in the High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall.

Lance West pled guilty to assault on a peace officer and harassment of a public servant on Monday, Nov. 6.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office issued warrants for Donald Megaris and Humberto Avila. Donald Megaris is wanted for one count of property theft, reportedly valued between $750 and $2,500.

Madison County Independent School District’s board of trustees recently held their monthly board meeting on Monday, Nov. 13, taking the time to discuss the recent legislative session.
