Former Texas A&M All-American Sam Bennett had a wild ride at the 124th U.S. Open, scheduled for June 13-16, at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club’s Course No. 2. Bennett ultimately finished in 72nd place; after experiencing some dramatic highs and lows after a strong start.

Every year, the Texas FFA Association, Ford Motor Company and Texas Ford Dealers select 10 deserving students to join the Ford Leadership Scholars Program. The Madisonville City Council and the Madison County Commissioners Court approved resolutions to designate the Madisonville Post Office as the Benton “Lanier” Stevens Post Office. After confusion about whether the dedication would include renaming the building, the city council had to reconsider the resolution.
North Zulch announced today it will continue to operate the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program at all campuses for the 2024-2025 school year. Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. This approach reduces burdens for both families and school administrators and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals.
