Riverwood Healthcare residents and Activity Director, Leticia, had a blast at this last week’s baking class. From whipping up delicious cheesecakes to popping fresh, buttery popcorn, the room was filled with laughter, learning, and lots of tasty bites.
Mrs. Wakefield’s first-grade class at North Zulch Elementary plants seeds as part of a hands-on learning activity. The students eagerly dig in, excited to watch their plants grow.
Visitors browse vendor booths at the North Zulch ISD “Stride & Thrive” community event held Saturday, March 15 at the school track. The event, organized by FCCLA student food ambassadors in partnership with the USDA MyPlate program, featured food tastings, health activities and local business displays.
In collaboration with Pizza Hut of Madisonville, the Hispanic Heritage Association was able to feed the Madisonville High School Lady Mustangs and Mustangs soccer teams before their big games Monday, March 17. HHA President Zoraida delivered the pregame meal.
