The Madisonville Varsity Lady Mustangs ended their 2024 season after losing to the Silsbee Tigers in the bi-district round of the playoffs. The Lady Mustangs lost all three games of the series 11-1, 6-0 and 10-0.

Madisonville CISD students will perform the classic musical “Annie” at the Madisonville High School auditorium with shows, Thursday, April 30 through, Friday, May 2.

After a prolonged delay because of a lawsuit filed by about 100 school districts, the Texas Education Agency has released the 2023 A-F accountability ratings, indicating the share of campuses that received a passing ranking dropped by 14% from 2022.

North Zulch ISD will host its athletic banquet celebrating student athletes and their achievements from the 2024-2025 school year on May 5 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $20 per person and will be available for purchase at the door during the event.

Stover & Crouch Insurance, in partnership with Hochheim Prairie Insurance, is donating funds to several local organizations focused on helping children in Madison County. Steven Stover, vice president of Stover & Crouch Insurance, explained the company’s commitment to the community through their annual giving program.

Eight North Zulch Family, Career and Community Leaders of America teams competed at the Texas State Conference in Dallas the weekend of April 12, with four teams placing in the top five and two earning spots at the national competition in Orlando, Florida.
