Saturday, April 19, Miss Rita’s Playschool & Daycare held its 44th annual Easter Parade and Egg Hunt on the square in downtown Madisonville where the story of Jesus’ resurrection and redemption through his sacrifice was shared during traditional Easter festivities and old-fashioned family fun.
A man who pointed a gun at a Grimes County deputy constable during a traffic stop last year received a 15-year prison sentence last week. Nathan Boggs, 32, pled guilty April 14 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon by threat, a second-degree felony.
