The Community Foundation’s Brazos Valley Gives Day has over 195 nonprofits taking part in the community-wide day of giving. The big day is Tuesday, October 21. Early giving opens on Monday, September 22.

Charlene F. Corbell, a devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and precious friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Midway, Texas on September 9, 2025. She was born to proud parents, Bruce and Mildred Foster, in Baytown, Texas on February 12, 1934, and grew up in Baytown alongside her sister Linda. Charlene was part of the last graduating class to attend Cedar Bayou High School in 1951.
