Madison County residents captured scenes from the arctic blast that hit the region over the weekend. Temperatures dropped into the single digits as ice and snow blanketed the area, closing schools and government offices Monday.

A pipe at the Madison County Sheriff's Office decided it had enough of winter Monday, Jan. 26.

The following persons were arrested or booked into the Madison County jail on Sunday, January 15, through Sunday, January 25. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
