CALENDAR MADISON COUNTY LIBRARY STORYTIME January Storytime for babies through pre-K at the Madison County Library will be on Thursdays, January 8, 15, 22, and 29 at 10:00 a.m. The 30-45 minute program includes stories, songs, fingerplays, rhymes, movement activities, and a craft.

Madison County prepares for arctic blast

Madison County residents should prepare for an arctic blast expected to bring freezing rain, ice and dangerously cold temperatures through early next week.

The Madison County Emergency Management Operations Team announced plans Friday, Jan. 23 to help residents weather the storm. Temperatures are forecast to drop into the single digits by Monday, Jan. 26, with lows near 6 degrees expected in Madisonville.
