Harper Richie was elected state president of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.

Taylor sentenced to life for continuous sexual abuse of child

A Madison County jury found Glenn Taylor, 61, guilty of continuous sexual abuse of a child Wednesday, April 15, and sentenced him to life in prison the following day after deliberating less than 10 minutes, according to a press release from Criminal District Attorney Courtney Cain.

Judge Tracy Sorensen handed down the sentenced Thursday, April 16, in the 278th Judicial District Court. The life sentence is the maximum punishment allowed by law for the charge, according to the press release.
