Lady Mustangs grab back-to-back wins

The Lady Mustangs doubled up on Bellville 8-4, and dominated Manor New Tech 19-2 at the Caldwell Tournament Thursday.

Against Bellville Grace Williamson went 2-for-2 with one RBI and Grace Coleman went 2-for-3 with two RBI’s.

After the first two innings of play the Lady Brahmas and Madisonville were knotted at three.

The game ended in the bottom of the third when the Lady Mustangs went on a 5 run tear to seal the victory.

Sidnie Smith caught fire in the Lady Mustangs second game of the evening going 4-for-4 with 4 Runs and 4 RBI’s. Along with her two triples in the game Smith went the distance on the mound giving up just two hits and striking out five. Smith’s other two hits were both singles, one in the first and one in the fourth inning.

Coleman was also a presence in the second game going 3-for-3 with 3 Runs and 3 RBI’s.

Jadyn Hooten also drove in 3 runs to contribute to the Lady Mustangs big win over the Lady Titans.

Jenna Yeager ran wild with three stolen bases as the team collectively nabbed 13 bases on the night.

The Lady Mustangs continued tournament play through out the weekend.
