In tournament action Thursday, the Madisonville Mustangs took two of their three games with wins over Fairfield 6-3, and Woodville 10-1. In their third contest the Mustangs went hitless in a game called after 2 and a half innings of play giving La Grange the 4-0 win.

In the Fairfield game the Mustangs jumped out on top early, eventually staking a 6-0 lead over the Eagles. A triple and a sacrifice fly by Fairfield cut the Mustangs lead in half, but the game was already sealed.

The Mustangs scored six runs on just two hits to take down the Eagles but were walked six times in the game.

In the win over Woodville, Madisonville had established a huge 10-0 lead after just three innings of play.

Cameron Thrower and Cody Stapleton combined to get the no hitter win for the Mustangs.

After being down 4-0 heading into the bottom of the third the game between La Grange and Madisonville was completed. The Mustangs finished the game with zero hits and three errors.

The Mustangs were in action again on Saturday against Porter.
