St. Joe’s to implement Patriot Walk

Bryan, TX, November 11, 2021 - St. Joseph Health is proud to announce the implementation of the Patriot Walk program across the health system’s five hospitals and two long-term care facilities. The program will be piloted at St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital in Bryan, TX beginning December 1, 2021, and will honor veterans and those currently serving in the United States military who pass away in a St. Joseph Health facility.

MCISD discusses benefits

Madisonville CISD held their monthly meeting for November last week and discussed possible further benefits for their teachers in order to keep acquiring top staff members in the years to come. “We are about to enter one of the most difficult times in education that I have ever seen in my several years of experience,” said Superintendent Keith Smith, who has over thirty years of industry experience.

Madisonville CISD held their annual ceremony honoring our nation’s Veterans at Mustang Stadium Thursday. Local Veterans were invited to attend and were provide with a free brunch following the festivities.

Man convicted of assault and possession sentenced

Richard Wyatt Ledbetter was sentenced to seven years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after he was convicted of Assault, Family Violence by Impeding Breath and Possession of Methamphetamine, both of which are third degree felonies where the maximum sentencing is 10 years.

Hey Madison County, congratulations on our massive County, congratulations on our massive Special Election participation and turnout this past Election Day! Historically, we generate only 300-500 voters on these off-cycle, no-candidate ballots. But not on our just-completed election.

The Madisonville women’s basketball team opened their season with a pair of victories over Snook Nov. 9 by a score of 48-13 and Livingston Friday by a score of 47-22. The men’s basketball team was scheduled to open their season Tuesday with a matchup in Hempstead while the Lady Mustangs were scheduled to travel to Caldwell.
