During the Veterans Day program, Burke Landry, a World War II veteran, receives a salute at Mustang Gym Friday, Nov. 10. In recognition of his service, Landry is presented with a United States Flag. The event also paid tribute to each branch of the army.

Madisonville Police Chief Herbert Gilbert addressed the City Council about work session item three, discussing the police take-home vehicle program at the start of the meeting on Monday, Nov. 13.

Retired teachers in Madison County and beyond are grateful that Proposition 9 was passed. Lorraine Coleman, a retired teacher in Madisonville and one of the Presidents of the Retired Teachers Association in our community, has said they feel supported.

In Tuesday’s recent election, Nov. 7, Texas voters cast their ballots on several constitutional amendments, known as Legislative Referendum Constitutional Amendments (LRCAs).

The Mighty Mustang Band held their annual holiday market at the Truman Kimbro Center Saturday, Nov. 11. They played music and visited vendors inside the market, thanking them for showing up and supporting the band.
