Coffee time with Jesus was the foundation of the dream for The Well, a place where you can come as you are, enjoy a nice cup of coffee with a snack, and make lifelong friends.

With an inspiration of helping the community, local church and ministries, The Well emphasizes the importance of loving people. “We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus,” said owner Stephany Burns.

About 8 months ago, Burns felt pulled to open a coffee shop that gives back to those around her.

After expressing the idea to five of her closest friends, Burns’ vision became reality. After 8 weeks of working, The Well’s doors were swung open wide. Coffee, hot chocolate, baked goods and snacks are all offered inside the cute little brick building.

When you enter, you will see several smiling faces, a few tables and chairs, and a war room. For those unfamiliar, a war room is a prayer room dedicated to spending time and prayer with God, to solve difficult problems in your life and grow your relationship with Him.

Through the faith of all these women, the goal is to make everyone who steps through the doors feel held. “No matter what walk of life you are in, you will find love and prayer in this building,” said Burns.

The Well is planning a lot in the upcoming weeks, including a Christmas Toy Drive.

Ten-percent of all purchases at The Well will be poured back into the local community in one way or another.

The Well is open Monday through Saturday. Burns said they always welcome visitors, “Where the coffee is brewin’ and the mountains are movin.”
