In a turn of events, Shanda Williams and Dwayne Johnson, who were once both on probation, now face significant prison sentences after violating their terms. On Feb. 1, 2018, Shanda Williams pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 10 years probation.

On Wednesday, Nov. 29, the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), a division within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), unveiled a groundbreaking partnership.

Sales tax is crucial in fueling the City of Madisonville’s financial engine, comprising 8.25% of receipts from local transactions. The tax is assessed by local businesses with the State of Texas handling collection, of the total sales tax collected, 2% is remitted to the City, accounted for in the general fund.

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Texas A&M University Science Faculty are presenting the 2023 Beef 101 program on Dec. 6 and 8 in College Station. This is a three-day intensive hands-on program designed for anyone who has an interest in expanding their knowledge of the total beef industry. This is the foremost educational experience for basic information about the beef industry provided anywhere in the US. A maximum of 40 participants per session are accepted to allow for maximum hands-on participation and interaction with faculty, staff and graduate student instructors.
