If you’re looking to dispose of any trash, the city of Madisonville is sponsoring a trash-off event, for trash disposal at no additional cost on Saturday, Jan. 20, at 1001 Mickey Leland Blvd. from 8 a.m. through Noon.

The Friends of Fort Boggy State Park will meet noon Thursday, Jan. 18, at the City of Centerville Municipal Building, across from the post office, for its Annual Meeting and final preparations for the 7th Annual Kid Fish. A light lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m.

The children of Sweet Magnolia Learning Center spread holiday cheer to the residents of Adar Nursing Home in Madisonville Thursday, Dec. 21. 

Sunday, Dec. 31, marked the one and half years of service that K-9 Sgt. Maverick has been with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

Having not checked Facebook for quite a few days I took a break to scroll through it and enjoy the Christmas family pics, you know, the ones that organized moms and grandmoms had already cropped, adjusted and added to Facebook.
