Homegoing services for Betty Gene Ford, 68, were held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Pastor D.F. Johnson officiated the service. She was laid to rest in West End Cemetery, Madisonville, Texas.

Betty Gene Ford was born September 15, 1952 in Brenham, Texas. Her parents were Herbert Figgs and Emma Lewis Figgs. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Pool Chapel Baptist Church in Madisonville, Texas.

Betty had been a resident of Madisonville since 1972, coming from Houston, Texas and was an employee of Walmart for thirty-seven years. She enjoyed her grandchildren very much as their beloved “Nana.” They were a big part of her life.

Betty passed away suddenly March 5, 2021 in Madisonville, Texas. She was preceded in death by husband, Willie Ford and a host of brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Jason (Jeanette) Ford of Centerville, Kevin (Sheila) Ford of Madisonville, Stanley (Corita) Ford of Houston and Willie (Pamela) Ford, Jr. of Houston; daughter, Rose (Rev. Ronald) Eagleton of Cypress; sisters, Clarice Figgs of Brenham and Emma Gene Carper of Houston; brothers, Chester Figgs of Houston, Lee Charles Figgs of South Hill, VA and Robert Figgs of Missouri City; grandchildren, Jason Ford, II, Makayla Ford, Gavin Ford, Alvieyah Williams, Christian Williams, Jarrod Allen, Andree’ Bartley, Joshua Proctor, Dia Monique Williams and Cameron Williams and great-grandson, Khaidyn Jurode.

Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas was entrusted with final arrangements.
