Funeral services for Billy “Hotshot” Diserens, 80, were held 11 A.M., Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Rock Prairie Baptist Church. Pastors Olan Weaver & Glenn Connor officiated the service, and interment followed in Rock Prairie Cemetery, adjacent to the church.

Pallbearers: Nolan Diserens, Jake Weaver, Cole Weaver, Blaine Burtis, Brandon Pope, Garrett Pope, Larry Hintzel, Carson Radde Billy L. “Hotshot” Diserens was born January 23, 1941 in North Zulch, Texas to Nolan & Emily (Kindt) Diserens. He was a graduate of North Zulch High School and served his country in the U.S. Army with one tour in Vietnam. Billy worked as a pipeliner and a pipeline inspector.

He was crazy about sports including baseball, basketball and football. Billy enjoyed his 1950 Ford that he bought in North Dakota and refurbished throughout the years.

Billy passed away March 29, 2021 in Bryan, Texas. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and infant son, Curtis Allen Diserens (1970). Survivors include wife, Helen Diserens of North Zulch; daughters, Melissa Radde (Karl) of North Zulch and Kendra Burtis (Brandon) of Friendswood; brother, Alton Ray “Preacher” Diserens; sister, Mary Hintzel of Bellville; grandchildren, Elice Regini, Taylor Creel, Carson Radde, Blaine Burtis and Baileigh Burtis and great-grandchildren, Kimber Regini, Ryann Regini and Lilly Creel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rock Prairie Cemetery Association, c/o Helen Ketchum, P.O. Box 353, Madisonville, Texas 77864.
