Cheryl Lynne (Harrison) Thacker; 63 years, 5 months, 21 days; of Jewett, TX; passed away on Saturday; March 27, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. The funeral service is scheduled for 2PM on Saturday; April 3, 2021 at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville, TX with the burial to follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Normangee, TX. Bro. Tim Davis will officiate. The visitation is scheduled from 5-7PM on Friday; April 2, 2021 at Day Funeral Home in Madisonville, TX.

Cheryl was born on October 9, 1957 in Houston, TX to Richard Homer and Barbara Jean (Howard) Harrison. She graduated from New Caney High School in New Caney, TX and spent much of her life working in the retail industry until she and her husband retired to Lake Limestone.

Cheryl was a devoted wife and mother. Family was always the most important part of her life. Everyone she met, loved her; she had a way of drawing people in with her magnetic personality. In 2018 she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and fought hard for over 2 years.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Homer Harrison, and Barbara Jean Harrison, and by her siblings, Terry Glen Harrison, Carolyn June Cox, Victor Allen Harrison, and Barbara Ann Harrison.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Lester “Sam” Thacker; her children, Rebecca “Becky” Taylor, Lavada Bormuth, Sadie Nichols, Chad Thacker, Amy Harrison, Janis Spurlock, Theresa Comeaux, and Roger Comeaux; her grandchildren, Kristopher Stewart, Dustin Taylor, Travis Taylor, Hope Taylor, Blake Bormuth, Kaylee Bormuth, Joshua Garza, Mara Dumas, Olivia Nichols, Kira Thacker, Korbin Tucker, Cullen Thacker, Brooke Harrison, Hannah Spurlock, Jack Spurlock, Henry Spurlock, Ruby Spurlock, Jacob Comeaux, Karlee Barnes, and Kaden Barnes; her great grandchildren, Abriana, Abby, Jace, Samuel “Sam”, Cayden, Bailey, Baer, and Shawna; and her siblings, David Harrison, Martha Ratliff, and Richard Marcus Harrison

Serving as pallbearers are: Lee Bormuth, Blake Bormuth, David Harrison, James Thacker, Brian Kirk, and Travis Taylor. Serving as an honorary pallbearer is Chester Canady.
