Curtis (Stu) Washington was born on August 17, 1949 to Iola Harrison and Tenelio Washington in Midway, Texas.

Curtis was a 1964 graduate of Anahuac High School. After which he moved to Houston and resided there for 45 years. Curtis was employed with Continental Airlines for over thirty years. He retired to spend time being active with his grandsons and enjoy life.

Proceeding him in death was his father Tenelio Washington; mother, Iola Harrison; grandson Christoffer Washington, Jr.

To cherish his memories he leaves daughter, Sherrie Washington (Terry); two sons, Curtis Washington, Jr. (Nikki) and Christopher Washington; grandchildren, Tekiyo, Jordan, Alexis, DeVante, Latara, Destiny, Lady, Chris Jr., Chrishawn, Ebbonee and Priscilla; adopted grandchildren, Andre’, Heaven’Lei, Hones’Tei, Harma’Nei, Har’Lei and Rose; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Jalani, Paris, Jayla, Tiara, Joseph, Josiah and Joshua.

His sisters, Thelma Lewis of Anahuac, TX, Sandra Guillory (Glenn) of Baytown, TX and Lola Hill of Anahuac, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Homegoing graveside services for Curtis were held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Southside Cemetery, Midway, Texas.

Active Pallbearers: Curtis Washington, Jr., Chris Washington, Tekiyo Washington, Jordon Washington, Johual Washington, Terry Kirkwood.

Honorary Pallbearers: James Green, Glenn Guillory, Newman Lewis, Gary Mosley, Marques Guillory, Brandon Harrison.

Arrangements were entrusted to Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
