Fred Arthur Henson, 72 years, of Madisonville; was called to his heavenly home on Monday, April 17, 2023, surrounded by his family. Fred’s life will be celebrated at 10AM on Monday; April 24, 2023, at The First Baptist Church in Madisonville, TX with Bro. Chris Kelso and Bro. Charles Higgs officiating. The burial will follow at Allphin Cemetery in Madison County, TX. The visitation is scheduled from 4-6PM on Sunday; April 23, 2023, at Fannin Oaks in Madisonville.

Fred was preceded in death by his father, The Honorable Judge Arthur Monroe “Art” Henson and is survived by his wife of 32 years, who he hated to leave behind, Elizabeth “Liz” (Calfee) Henson; his children, Stefanie Erin Maslowski (Nick), Rebecca Carol Moutray (Chris), Rachel Ann Henson, and Justin McClain Henson (D’Lynn); his grandchildren, Erin McKinney, Kaylee McKinney, Jacob Hull, Colin Moutray, Cora Moutray, and Hardy Henson; his mother, Barbara “Gigi” (Clark) Henson, his sister, Jeanne Marie (Henson) Thames (Buddy), his brother, David C.

Henson (Darlene); and numerous other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Fred’s honor to: The Michelle Lynn Holsey Foundation (PO Box 652; Crockett, TX 75835) or to The Cody Nessmith Foundation (514 Nessmith Road; Glenmora, LA 71433).

Both foundations support families in their quest to battle cancer and other debilitating diseases.
