1953 – 2023

Glynn Ray Shiflet, 70 years, 11 months and 4 days from North Zulch, TX, passed away on Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, in North Zulch, TX. Graveside services with military honors are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, at Pankey Cemetery in Bedias, TX. Bro. Dale Evans will officiate.

Glynn was born on Jan. 4, 1953 in Palacios, TX to Roy Leon Shiflet and Bobbie Marie (Hall) Shiflet. He graduated from Madisonville High School in Madisonville, TX in 1971 and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in The United States Army.

Glynn was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Mary Ruth Shiflet and Lois Marie Williams; his nephew, Bradley Ryan Shiflet; and his great nephew, Eli Ryan Shiflet.

Glynn is survived by his sister, Nancy Shiflet; his children, Rebecca Malone, Reana Shiflet, Glenda Lamb (Chris), and Glynn Shiflet, Jr. (Annie); his grandchildren, Kevin Malone (Rikki), Dustin Johnson, Kacie Eddleman (Klint), Dalton Hebert (Jessica), William Keefer III, Wesley Keefer, Anthony Lamb, Evin Lamb, Ethan Lamb, James Shiflet (Leslie), Marshall Shiflet, and Zachary Shiflet; 12 great grandchildren, 10 nieces and nephews, and 23 great nieces and nephews.

Glynn is also survived by his extended loving family Cyndi Jehl, Edward Schuenemann, Anita McWhorter (Phil), Rhonda Schuenemann; 9 nieces and nephews, 27 great nieces and nephews, and 2 great great nieces.

The family would like to thank Bobbie Sue Homer for her loving kind assistance in caring for Glynn in his final days.

Serving as pallbearers are Glynn Shiflet, Jr., Dustin Johnson, Reana Shiflet, Kevin Malone, Dalton Hebert and JoJo Williams.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Edward Schuenemann, Josh Dickey and Sean Stephenson.
