1947 – 2023

Jackie Marie (Adams) Fento, 76 years and 4 months from Bedias, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023 in Bedias. A memorial service will be held at a later date for family and friends.

Jackie was born on Aug. 5, 1947 in Freeport to Jack Delbert Adams and Elizabeth “Betty” (Tyrone) Adams and she was raised by her mother and step-father, Henry Thomas. She graduated from Galena Park High School in Galena Park in 1965 and was a long-time employee of Lowes. Jackie enjoyed gardening, fishing, and crocheting and was her husband’s primary caretaker the last twelve years of his life.

Jackie was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Van Wayne Fenton; her parents; her sisters, Betty Joyce Wyatt and Suzanne Thomas; and her granddaughter, Nicole Fenton.

Jackie is survived by her children, Glen Fenton (Rhonda) and Lynn Payne (Tony); her grandchildren, Kristina Sells (Jimmy), John Noonan (Brittany), and Victoria Hudson (David); her siblings, Sam Thomas, Teresa (Thomas) Bright, and Boley Thomas; and numerous great grandchildren.
