A homegoing celebration service for Jewel Dean Carson was held 12 Noon, Friday, March 10, 2023 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Bro.

Mack Bailey officiated the service. Interment followed at Southside Cemetery, Midway, Texas. On March 11, 1934, a baby girl, Jewel Dean Carson was born to Bill & Alice (Wiley) Carson. Jewel accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, and became a member of South Side Church of Christ in Midway, Texas. She passed away March 5, 2023 in Midway, Texas.

Jewel attended A.V.

Lee High School in Midway, Texas. She spent most of her time as a caregiver to the young as well as the elderly. She was a surrogate mother to her nieces and nephews. She helped mold four generations of her family.

Jewel was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Alice Carson; sister, Anna Mae Carson; brothers, John Lee Carson and William Carson.

To cherish the many precious memories include two sisters, Jeanette Turner of Midway, Texas and Pearlie Strange of Garland, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Maxine Carson and Mary Carson both of Houston, Texas; also, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers: Anthony Ford, Cedrix Ford, Creighton Goffney, Marcus Turner, Damion Green, Lorenzo Ford Honorary Pallbearers: Edward Turner, Sr., John Bates, Ricardo Argudin, Melvin Ford.
