 Lillie Mae (Phelps) Clark, 86 years, 3 months, 22 days, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, in Navasota, TX. Graveside services are 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10 at Prairie Dale Phelps Cemetery in Caldwell, TX.

Lillie was born on Sept. 16, 1937 in Caldwell, TX to Thomas Terrell Phelps and Lillie Betty (Poehl) Phelps.

She attended school in Caldwell and was a long-time employee in the transportation department for The Houston Independent School District.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel Randall Clark; her son, Michael Floyd Barfield; and her siblings, Margaret Rose Stringer and Thomas Albert Phelps.

Lillie is survived by her children, Brenda Joyce Barfield and Joe Vernon Barfield; her grandchildren; Britni Smalley (Bobby), Danielle Jimenez (Rudy), and Randy Barfield; her numerous great grandchildren; and her siblings, Oscar George Phelps (Sharon), Mary Neil Abner, and Billy Paul Petis (Brenda).
