Lucinda White was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many during her time with us. With heavy hearts, we mourn her passing on Jan. 29, 2024, at the age of 70 years. She peacefully left this world, succumbing to natural causes. Lucinda’s legacy and impact will continue to live on through the memories and love she shared with her family and friends.

Lucinda was born Dec. 28, 1953, to Earnie & Barbara Carter, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting her loved ones. She and her husband raised their family in Madisonville until moving closer to Bryan.

Lucinda’s professional journey led her to graduating as a registered nurse from TCU.

She poured her heart and soul into her work, serving as a dedicated registered nurse at St. Joseph’s Regional Hospital. Lucinda’s passion and dedication were recognized, and she achieved the pinnacle of her career when she was appointed as the charge nurse in the CCU. Her compassionate care and expertise touched the lives of countless patients and their families.

Beyond her professional life, Lucinda shared her creative talents through her passion for quilting. She became an expert quilter, crafting beautiful pieces that will be cherished for generations to come. Lucinda’s attention to detail and artistic skill were evident in each intricate stitch, reflecting her love and dedication to her craft.

As we grieve her loss, we find solace in the memories we shared with Lucinda. Her warm smile, compassionate heart, and unwavering love for her family and friends will forever be etched in our hearts.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Lucinda will remember her as a caring, resilient, and nurturing individual.

Lucinda was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Russell White; son, David White and brother, Eddie Carter. She is survived by son, Steven White & wife, Regina, of Bryan and grandchildren, Jackson and Allison.

A funeral service to honor Lucinda White’s life was held 10 a.m.

Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, at Madisonville Funeral Home. Bro.

Glenn Connor officiated the service. Following the service, Lucinda was laid to rest in Madisonville Cemetery. Her final resting place will serve as a lasting tribute to her memory.

Lucinda White leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and compassion that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. As we say our final goodbyes, let us remember her spirit, celebrate her life, and find comfort in the cherished memories we hold dear. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
