Maria Victoria “Vicky” (Garza) Hilburn, 53 years, 8 months, 28 days of New Caney, TX, passed away at her home on Monday, October 2, 2023 with her family by her side. The funeral mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, October 9, 2023, at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Madisonville, TX with the burial to follow at Madisonville Cemetery in Madisonville. The visitation is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville with the rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Father Guillermo Gabriel-Maisonet will officiate the funeral mass.

Vicky was born on January 5, 1970 in Jourdanton, TX to Manuel and Melinda (Huizar) Garza and attended school in Madisonville. She dedicated her life to being a daughter, a mother, a grandmother, and a sister. Vicky loved being a caretaker for others, never asking for anything in return.

Vicky was preceded in death by her husband, Henery Hilburn; her daughter, Emily Hilburn; her grandson, Julian Rivera; her father, Manuel Garza; her grandparents, Marinio and Elena Garza and Nestor and Manuela Huizar; her nephew, Johnny Garza, Jr.; and her niece, Madison Hardin.

Vicky is survived by her special friend, Juan Roacha; her mother, Melinda Garza; her children, Jesus Nino (Jessica Mendez), Kristian Garza, Rudy Ortiz, Vanessa Rivera (Nicolas), Matthew Hilburn, Michael Hilburn, Brianna Hilburn, and Johnathan Hilburn; her grandchildren, Justice, Jereni, Jordan, and Jesus, Jr. Nino, Jaime and Joshua Garza, Caiden Sanchez, Nicolas, Ismael Sebastian, Sandra, and Everardo Rivera; her great grandchildren, Jaime and Liliana Zepeda; and her siblings, Cindy Gaona (Jimmy), Teresa Guevara (“Chico”), Irma Martinez (Theofilo), Kathy Hernandez (Leo), Debbie Castillo (Cory), Johnny Garza (Tina), and Manuel Garza (Sylvia).

Serving as pallbearers are Manuel Garza, Jr., Johnny Garza, Justin Castillo, Anthony Leal, Joel Penaloza, Tino Penaloza, and Zachary Randolph.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Rudy Ortiz, Jesus Nino, Matthew Hilburn, Michael Hilburn, and Jonathan Hilburn.
