Ramona Posada Valdez, 79, of Madisonville Texas, passed away on June 8, 2021 in Madisonville, Texas.

A Rosary was held Friday, June 11, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Madisonville Funeral Home, 1511 E. Main St., Madisonville, Texas 77864.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at Madisonville Funeral Home with burial following at Madisonville Cemetery. Fr. Guillermo Gabriel-Maisonet officiated the service. All arrangements were handled by Madisonville Funeral Home.

Ramona Posada was born in Huejuquilla El Alto, Jalisco Mexico to Margarita Cruz and Andres Valdez on October 3, 1941. She married Onofre Gregorio Posada in Cd. Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico.

Ramona, also known as Mona, Monita, Monchis, or simply Grandma, was a homemaker. She loved gardening, cooking, and being outdoors, but most of all, was passionate about singing and playing casinos.

Ramona is preceded in death by her parents Andres and Margarita Valdez, her sister Emilia Maria Valdez, her brothers Austreberto and Agustin Valdez, and her beloved grandson Noe Abraham Dimas.

Ramona is survived by her six daughters: Margarita Casanova (Rene Casanova), Silvia Posada (Jorge Garcia), Laura Amaya (Fred Morrison), Mayela Hinojosa (Juan Manuel Hinojosa), Deyanira Ely (Bart Ely), Claudia Posada, eighteen grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Leroy Posada, James Posada, Alan Casanova, Ivan Jesus Dimas, Edgar Jorge Garcia, Oskar Garcia, Osmar Andres Hinojosa, Samuel David Ely, and Christian Everett Ely.
