1949-2023

Randolph “Randy” Clifford; 74 years, 4 months, 18 days, from Madisonville, TX, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023 in Conroe, TX. Randy’s life will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at Madisonville Christian Fellowship in Madisonville, TX. Bro. Wade Phillips will officiate.

Randy was born on July 4, 1949 in Grand Saline, TX to Robert Davidson Clifford and Geraldine (Raseberry) Clifford. He graduated from Broadmoor High School in Baton Rouge, LA and proudly served his country as a submariner in The United States Navy.

Randy was an avid fisherman all his life, and upon his retirement, Randy moved to Madisonville, TX where he worked for Whitney Smith at Saxet Operating Company. He was very active as a deacon, teacher and leader at Madisonville Christian Fellowship and could be found most days visiting with friends and strangers who became his friends at Walker’s Café and Heart to Heart.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his sons, Robert Clifford and Russell Clifford; his sister, Debbie Nester; and his special friends, Noella Smith, Angela Culbreth, and Judge Butch McDaniel.
