The Madisonville Mustangs ended their losing streak while playing against the Rusk Eagles on Tuesday, Jan. 23.

The North Zulch Bulldogs have ended their losing streak after two games last week against McDade, and Round Top-Carmine. When facing off against the McDade Bulldogs on Tuesday, Jan.

The Lady Bulldogs were finally toppled from their top position when they lost against Round Top Carmine on Friday, Jan 26. Recently, the team faced off against the McDade Bulldogs on Tuesday, Jan.

The Lady Mustangs (23-5) have continued to be second in the district after this loss against Jacksonville two weeks ago, but they have kept it strong, beating Rusk and Palestine. On Tuesday, Jan. 23, they faced off against the Rusk Eagles, dominating the score by 25 points, 60-35.

Nothing much has changed in the world of the Mustangs; currently, the team is sitting at a (3-17) overall record, and the latest matchups, Bullard and Jacksonville, did not help boost the wins. On Wednesday, Jan.

As the district season progresses for the North Zulch Lady Bulldogs, they’re continuing their winning streak that they started on Tuesday, Jan. 2, when they won against Round Top-Carmine.

The North Zulch Bulldogs are still in a loss streak totaling up to four after losing to Fayetteville and Dimebox last week. When facing off against Fayetteville on Wednesday, Jan. 17, the Bulldogs lost the match after falling to a score of 66-45.

The Lady Mustangs (21-5) have kept their position in district play, becoming second behind Jacksonville after losing to them on Friday, Jan. 19. Before that, though, the Lady Mustangs had a strong showcase against the Bullard Panthers on Wednesday, Jan. 17, dominating the scoreboard with a powerful 60-29 win.

At the 2024 Aggieland Classic held on Friday, Jan 19, through Sunday, Jan. 19, the FC Mustangs had two teams that participated in the gold bracket, the highest level of the competition and both teams came away with championship trophies. The U11 team is in red and black, while the U12 team is in red and white.
