In the high-stakes clash on the Madisonville High School gridiron, Madisonville Mustangs, despite facing multiple score-stopping penalties secured a resounding victory against the Fairfield Eagles, emerging victorious with a score of 40 to 14.

Madisonville Lady Mustangs junior high volleyball picked up a pair of championships at the Navasota Junior High Lady Fang Classic Sept. 9. The Lady Mustang 7th Grade A team won their division and the Madisonville 8th Grade B team also finished first. Madisonville’s 8th Grade B team finished second, falling to Anderson-Shiro in the championship.
