With assistance from the public, the Madisonville Police Department successfully identified the second individual responsible for aggravated robbery at the game room located at 204 South May Street in August.

Edward Dalton Delacerda received the maximum sentence of 10 years confinement in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after multiple driving while intoxicated offenses and a failure to rehabilitate after he was previously arrested and pled guilty to the felony offense for the third time, according to a press release from Madison County District Attorney Brian Risinger’s office last week.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Madisonville Police Department, arrested James Darran Franks II of Austin while his vehicle was parked on the side of the road on Interstate 45 northbound near the Walker County line after he was discovered to be in possession of a firearm as well as narcotics.

After a nearly four-month long investigation originally spawned by the discovery of a runaway juvenile female in June, Madisonville Police Department Detectives uncovered disturbing details relating to human trafficking that occurred in the Dallas area with strong local ties.

Madison County Sheriff Deputies Nichols and McIntyre quickly apprehended a subject who stole Ms. Judy Marks’ truck from her driveway on the morning of her 76th birthday. The next day, the Deputies visited Marks to wish her a happy birthday and even brought her a cake. MADISON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
