A matter of prayer

Body
Recently I went to get my knee examined, which has been bothering me for a good while. After the x-rays, I went in to see the doctor he suggested. I needed a total knee replacement. They have me scheduled for knee replacement soon. Before I became a Christian my prayer might be, “God help me!” usually out of the situation I was in. But after I accepted Jesus as my Lord and personal Savior, my prayers changed drastically, (2Corinthisans 5:17, Isaiah 41:10, Philippians 4:13). I believe I learned a lot about prayer from my mother when I was little. She would come in almost every night and tuck me in bed and then she would say a prayer or had me say a little prayer.

The Old Iron Pot

We continue to encourage folks to write for Volume 3 of Madison County History. Not all submissions have to tell of family generations, from grandpa born when and where on down. Volume 1 also contained essays about churches, cemeteries, civic groups and more. Below are examples of the “more”.
