LEAD STORY -- HOLDING A GRUDGE! A family is seeking to press charges against an unnamed man who was briefly married to their mom in the 1970s, the New York Post reported. Their beef? Allegedly, the New Jersey man arrives at Linda Torello’s tombstone in Orangetown, New York, early almost every morning with his current wife in tow, where he urinates on her grave and sometimes leaves a bag of excrement.

Icebell (Walker) Morgan, 97, of Midway, Texas passed away on September 27, 2022 in Midway, Texas. She was born to Pierce Stokes Walker and Lena Nancy (Morgan) Walker on April 19, 1925 in Sweet Water, Alabama. She was one of seven children; one boy and six girls. She enjoyed quilting, playing with her grandchildren, cooking and riding with her husband to look at the pasture, also known as the “Ponderosa.” Icebell and her husband, James, were very involved in Elwood Baptist Church for many years. She quilted with ladies from the church, cooked meals for the congregation and taught Sunday school for adult women.

Gilberto Jose Arias; 71 years, 8 months, 6 days; of Flynn, TX; passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday; September 22, 2022. Gilberto’s life will be celebrated at a later date by his family and friends. Gilberto was born on January 16, 1951 in Bucaramanga, Colombia to Gilberto Arias Delgado and Lucila (Martinez) Arias and was retired from Champion Ranch in Centerville, TX. He is survived by his children: Daniel, Monica, David and Lukas.

Graveside services for Randy Mathis, 67, of Madisonville were held 2 P.M., Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Madisonville Cemetery, Madisonville, Texas. Bro. Dennis Ivey officiated the service. Terry Randall “Randy” Mathis, Sr. was born October 29, 1954, in Huntsville, Texas to James & Evelyn “Jeanelle” (Harris) Mathis. He was raised in Madisonville where he resided his entire life. Randy retired as a prison guard from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He was a Trail Boss & Rodeo Chairman for the Madisonville Sidewalk Cattlemen’s Association and a lifelong member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
