Mustangs Emerge From Bye, Eye La Grange

The Madisonville football team (2-3) returns to action Friday with their district opener against the La Grange Leopards (4-1) on the road. The Mustangs have defeated the Leopards in the Bi-District round of the playoffs each of the last two seasons.

4-H students win awards at Heart O' Texas Livestock Show

Madison County 4-H students won multiple awards at the recent Heart O’ Texas Livestock Show and Rodeo in Waco. Case Foster won Class Champion in the Agricultural Mechanics Contest with his entrance gate.

Nonprofit Aims to Get Every Kid in the Game

A new local nonprofit wants to make sure no child is left on the sidelines when it comes to youth sports. Blessed Ballers, founded in September 2024, provides funding and equipment to families who can’t afford registration fees or gear for their children to participate in sports programs.
