As Texas schools report record numbers of safety concerns through the state’s iWatchTexas program, local districts have strengthened their security protocols for the 2024-25 school year. The Texas Department of Public Safety’s iWatchTexas program received 204 school safety-related reports in September 2024, more than double the previous year’s 89 reports.
