MCSO Deputy arrested for family violence

Madison County Sheriff’s Deputy David Myers was arrested Sunday in Harris County on the charge of assault of a family member. MCSO released details in an official press release Thursday, stating Myers was arrested in thee City of Webster at a hotel.

The 27-year-old was released on bond Monday, which was set at $10,000. 

Myers has been suspended without pay by the MCSO. Further action is pending the result of an investigation by the Webster Police Department and an internal investigation by the MCSO, according to Sheriff Bobby Adams. 

“(Adams) has initiated an internal investigation into the allegations and arrest of (Myers),” stated the release. “The investigation should be competed within the next 30 days.”

Myers has been a deputy with the MCSO for the last six years.
