Residents got a closer look at the city’s grant-funded $1.2 million street improvement project last month, but construction remains on hold as the city works to secure remaining easements. A portion of Madisonville property owners March 17 met with city staff, grant administrators and the project engineer eyeing work on Bailey, Casey, Arrow, Memorial (First) and Thompson streets.

Feds charge 17 bikers tied to 2022 Madisonville shooting

HOUSTON — Federal prosecutors have charged 17 alleged members of the Homietos outlaw motorcycle gang with racketeering, murder and other violent crimes in a sweeping case tied to a 2022 Madisonville shooting. A superseding indictment unsealed March 18 alleges the group engaged in a series of violent retaliations after the April 2022 shooting at Zip’n Gas Station on East Main Street.
