The completed Sexual Assault Response Team biennial report for Madison County is now public, covering two years of data on how local agencies respond to adult sexual assault cases. The Sexual Assault Resource Center compiled the report from data submitted by each of the nine agencies on the team.

The Madisonville High School varsity girls soccer team finished 12-0 in District 16-4A with their victory against the Wildcats at Mustang Stadium March 16.

City seeks 30 signatures for $1.2M in roadway repairs

A $1.2 million street improvement project for new drainage and a fresh coat of asphalt on four Madisonville streets is on hold until officials clear one more hurdle. According to City Manager Kelcey Young, about 30 resident signatures for temporary easements are needed before work can begin on Bailey, North Casey, Arrow and Memorial (First) streets.

NORTH ZULCH — North Zulch Independent School District earned high marks in its latest academic performance report, claiming six distinctions with some grades ranking among the highest in the state, according to officials. Principals Janie Pope and Donald May reviewed the district’s A ranking and 2024-25 Texas Academic Performance Report scorecard with trustees during their meeting March 12.
