Lovell to host memorial team roping event

Madisonville native and reigning Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) National Finals Rodeo (NFR) World Champion Roper Colby Lovell will host the 1st Annual Cody NesSmith Memorial Team Roping at the Leon County Expo Center May 29-31. Proceeds from the event will help launch the Cody NesSmith Foundation to help families whose children are battling cancer.

Substitute Teacher Training

The Madisonville CISD Community Education Program will offer a substitute teacher training class beginning Monday, June 14 and lasting through Thursday, June 17, at Madisonville Elementary School. The class will meet from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the library. The registration fee is $35.
