Circus Funtastic held two shows at the Madison County Fairgrounds Thursday and treated attendees to acrobatics, speed juggling, tight rope walkers and clown antics. The show was in town for one night and included games and concessions outside the facility. CAMPBELL ATKINS

Ah, the stuff dreams are made of! That’s what happened last Wednesday when Texas A&M Junior Sam Bennett clinched the Cabo Collegiate at TPC San Antonio’s Oaks Course and earned an exemption into next month’s Texas Valero Open on the PGA Tour. If you’re not a golfer, suffice it to say, that’s big folks! You can probably bet on Sam making headline news many times in the coming years.

Locals were treated to the unique sport of lawn mower racing at Crossroads Cowboy Church Saturday courtesy of the Lone Star Mower Racing Association (LSMRA). The event included hot laps, heat races and feature races where 16 drivers competed against each other in the arena behind the church. CAMPBELL ATKINS
