ICEBELL (WALKER) MORGAN

Icebell (Walker) Morgan, 97, of Midway, Texas passed away on September 27, 2022 in Midway, Texas. She was born to Pierce Stokes Walker and Lena Nancy (Morgan) Walker on April 19, 1925 in Sweet Water, Alabama. She was one of seven children; one boy and six girls. She enjoyed quilting, playing with her grandchildren, cooking and riding with her husband to look at the pasture, also known as the “Ponderosa.” Icebell and her husband, James, were very involved in Elwood Baptist Church for many years. She quilted with ladies from the church, cooked meals for the congregation and taught Sunday school for adult women.

Icebell was preceded in death by her husband, James Jackson Morgan; both of her parents; and siblings, Irene Strickland, Agnes “Jackie” Tyler, Eloise King, Laverne Atwell, Edward “E.J.” Walker, Essie Walker-Cobb and Arnett Walker. She is survived by her son, Michael Morgan of Houston; daughters, Patti Wiseman (Carl) of Midway and Lisa Cannon (Carl Lynn) of Madisonville; grandchildren, Caroline Boyd, Troy Morgan, Dustin Cannon, Wendy Wiseman, Ryan Morgan and Wesley Wiseman; step-grandson, Braiden Phillips; great-grandchildren, Claire Cannon, Cason Cannon, Corbyn Boyd and Wiley Boyd and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Pallbearers: Dustin Cannon, Ryan Morgan, Tyler Boyd, Wesley Wiseman, Troy Morgan, Keith King A funeral service for Mrs. Morgan was held 11 A.M., Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Bro. Glenn Connor officiated the service.

Interment followed in Allphin Cemetery, Midway, Texas.
