ALICE ANN “SUE” DEWBERRY

Alice Ann “Sue” Dewberry was born in Normangee, Texas on September 8, 1956 to Sonny Dixon and Inez Coleman.

She was raised in Normangee, Texas and finished school in Normangee and later married Gene Clay and moved to Dallas, Texas. After Alice and Gene divorced while working in Dallas, she met Gene Dewberry and married him in July, 1988 and moved to California in September 1988. She then came back to Normangee in 2007.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Dewberry; father, Sonny Dixon; grandmother, Mary Robinson; daughter, Latasha Coleman and two brothers, Billy Dixon and George Earl Dixon. She was also preceded in death by several aunties, uncles and cousins.

Left to cherish Alice’s memory are mother, Inez Coleman; sons, Anthony, Christopher, Jerry and Henry Dewberry; daughters, Latoya Coleman, Kanisha Haynes (Delton) and Zena Dewberry (Jeff); brother, Elma Gene Dixon; sisters, Mary Jo Sandles (R.C.), Jessie Mc-Gowan (Venise), Carolyn Jones (Eddie), and Wilma Velma Randle; grandchildren, Zylan, JaZavion & Zaniyah Landrum, Dynisia, Nehemiah and Jadyn Dewberry, LaKenya Cooley, Nigel Reyes, Kadel Haynes, Ahmad White and Amando Coleman; great-grandchildren, Salaysia & Alaysia Coleman; a very special cousin, Robbie, as well as a host of other cousins and aunties and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Homegoing services for Alice were held 11 A.M., Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Zion Baptist Church, Normangee, Texas. A committal service followed at Culton Cemetery, Leona, Texas.
