Madison County Sheriff's Office Responds to Welfare Concern, Investigation Underway

In a press release issued by the Madison County Sheriff's Office, it was confirmed that on August 18, at 4:44 a.m., deputies from the Sheriff's Office responded to a welfare concern call in the 21000 block of OSR in Midway. The call led officers to a residence where they discovered the body of a deceased male.

Upon their arrival at the scene, deputies swiftly initiated the necessary protocols and secured the area. In light of the circumstances, investigators were immediately dispatched to investigate the incident thoroughly. The investigation remains active and ongoing as authorities work diligently to gather information and establish the details surrounding the situation.

While the Madison County Sheriff's Office is committed to conducting a comprehensive investigation, preliminary findings indicate no perceived threat to the general public regarding the incident. 

The Madison County Sheriff's Office has decided to withhold the identification of the deceased.
