Madisonville Dancers Earn a Chance to Shine in New York

Three talented competitive dancers from Madisonville have been selected for a prestigious opportunity following their standout performances at the Rainbow Dance competition.

Kamryn, Presley, and Raylee, who are from Madisonville, were individually chosen from a highly competitive pool of thousands of dancers at the Rainbow Dance competition to travel to New York and have a masterclass with the world-renowned Rockettes.

Their selection underscores the remarkable skill and dedication they have honed while dancing at Lori's School of Dance.

Now, the families of these gifted young dancers are reaching out to the community, seeking assistance to make their dream trip to New York a reality.

The girls are set to embark on a memorable six-day trip, during which they will partake in a range of age-appropriate experiences tailored to their dance backgrounds. Another feature of the experience will be a semi-formal cruise for the girls to enjoy.

To turn this dream into a reality, each of the three mother-daughter pairs needs to raise approximately $6,000, which will cover the cost of flights to New York and provide their children with an unforgettable experience that they have rightfully earned through their remarkable skills and unwavering commitment.

Tatum Kelly Barker and Stephany Burns, mothers of two of the young dancers, spoke with The Meteor, expressing their gratitude and urging the community to contribute to this remarkable journey.

Any donations made will be equally divided among the three girls. Burns emphasized the significance of this opportunity, saying, 'This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for our kids, earned through their exceptional solo dance performances. They were hand-picked from a pool of thousands of talented young dancers.'

To support their fundraising efforts, the families have assembled a Yeti cooler, which they are selling raffle tickets for. This cooler is filled with items valued at over $1,000, with the drawing scheduled for Friday, October 20. Among the items in the cooler are gift cards to local businesses, including Standley's Feed & Seed and Texas Legends Steakhouse.
